FAQ
Attendee and organizer questions.
Attendees
Do I need to be an IEEE or IES member?
No. Membership is not required. The registration form asks about it for the organizers' records.
The sign-in code did not arrive.
Check the spam folder. Codes expire after 10 minutes. An address can receive 5 codes an hour and 10 a day; after that, the last code sent stays valid until it expires.
Where is the joining link for an online event?
In the confirmation email. It is sent only once your place is confirmed, and never shown on the public page.
Can I change my answers after registering?
No. Cancel the registration and register again. The new registration gets a new reference code. See Manage your registrations.
Can I register someone else?
No. Each person registers with their own account, once per event.
Will I get a reminder before the event?
No reminder emails are sent. Add the event to your calendar from the event page or the confirmation email.
Will I get a certificate of attendance?
The platform does not issue certificates. Ask the event's organizers.
Can I change my email address?
No. The email is your sign-in address. Name, organization and country can be changed on the Profile page.
Conference registration says Coming soon.
Registration for conferences opens later. Other event types are not affected.
Organizers
Who can list an event?
Any signed-in account. An approver reviews each event before it goes public.
Submit for review is disabled.
Items on the checklist are still open, or the start date has passed. See the checklist.
I edited a published event. Were attendees told?
No. Edits go live without emailing anyone. Use Notify attendees.
Why can't I unpublish my event?
Unpublish is offered only while nobody has registered. Cancel the event instead.
Can attendees upload files in the registration form?
No. File upload questions are not available.
Is there on-site check-in?
Not on the platform. Attendees carry their reference code, and the CSV export lists every registration for a manual check.
Can I hand an event over to someone else?
Ownership cannot be transferred. Add the person as a co-organizer: they can do everything except manage the team and delete the draft.
