Review and publishing
An approver reviews each event before it goes public. The organizer submits it and picks the approver.
Submit for review
- 1
Complete every item on the checklist in Event setup.
- 2
Select Submit for review in the editor's top bar.
- 3
Pick the approver and confirm. The approver is emailed, and so is every organizer on the team.
The decision
- Approved: the event goes live, or is scheduled when a future publish date is set. The organizers are emailed.
- Changes requested: the event returns to draft. A banner in the editor shows the reviewer's reason. Fix it and submit again.
Event statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Editable and not public. |
| In review | Submitted and waiting for the approver. |
| Approved | Approved, with a future publish date. The editor shows Scheduled and the date. |
| Published | On the site, public or unlisted. |
| Completed | The event has ended. |
| Canceled | The page stays up and is marked canceled. |
Changes after approval
Edits to a published event go live at once. A change to the title, the dates, the format or the organizer also flags the event as Changed after approval, and the approver is emailed to review it. The event stays live.
On a scheduled event, the same changes send it back to review before it can go live.
To tell attendees what changed, see Update or cancel an event.
